Sometimes the issue can be that there is not enough fuel. Check the fuel level, make sure its topped up.
Due to the equipment being equipped with a low oil shut off, if there is not enough oil in the unit it will not start. Top up the oil with the recommended viscosity and amount.
If the fuel lever is in the off position it may cause the engine to start and then stop or not start at all. The on position for the fuel lever is in the vertical facing position.
The choke lever is located just over the air filter and should be placed in the open position when starting a cold engine, once the engine warms up it can be switched to the closed position to continue the normal running.
Over time there can be a build up on the spark plug. This can cause there to be no spark or not enough spark to start the generator. To check this use the spark plug wrench included with your generator to remove the spark plug. It can be cleaned or replaced.
When the generator goes sometime with out use the battery could lose its power. This is normally evident by turning the key and nothing happening and the equipment making no noises. If this happens the battery will need to be tested and refilled or replaced based on the recommendation of your battery expert.
This equipment should never be started with anything plugged into it. Always start the unit and then plug each desired tool or cable into the unit. This includes empty extension cords or tools that are in the off position.
If your combination unit is welding improperly it may be due to the length of leads being used. Although welding leads can be different lengths, the optimal length for our welders is 10 - 12 feet.
